E-Receipt Generation for Expense Management

A specific regulation in the USA allows certain expenses that are paid by card and under $75 to be submitted without a receipt therefore Expensya has introduced an e-receipt generation feature, controlled through a web setting called Enable E-receipt which can be accessed and activated by the admins.

For more details, please refer to this link.

This feature provides administrators with greater flexibility, allowing them to manage electronic receipts based on parameters such as the invoice amount, the country of the user, and the expense category.

A new administrative web setting, Enable E-receipt, is available in the Expensya Admin panel. This setting offers centralized control for managing e-receipt generation.

To access this feature, the administrator of the tenant’s account should activate the setting following these steps:

  1. From the Admin panel, go to Global Settings Menu
  2. Click on Expense sub-menu
  3. Locate the setting Enable E-receipt, activate its toggle and click on Update
  4. A window will pop up to allow the admin to configure the parameters of the feature.

  • Applicable user countries: refer to the user countries that will be allowed to generate the E-receipts and use them instead of the classic physical receipts
  • Max amount for E-receipt generation: This is the maximum amount spent for which E-reciept will be allowed. If an employee spends an expense which has an amount greater than the max set, E-receipts will not be allowed to replace physical ones.
The max amount is set in the enterprise’s currency.
  • Marchant types: the admin can either choose certain merchant types to which the feature will be applicable or select all merchant types

This feature ensures that businesses can adhere to regional regulations while maintaining an efficient and controlled expense management process.
