Guest Duplication Detection

The guest duplication detection feature in Expensya identifies duplicate guests across different expenses incurred by the same collaborator, on the same day, and under the same category.

When Expensya detects a guest duplication, an alert message is displayed for the end-users (the person whose name is on the receipt, the manager, the accountant, and the administrator).

When this parameter is activated, you may encounter the following scenarios:

  • The owner of the expense is identified as a guest in another similar expense for the same day and category.
  • The guest of the expense is identified as a guest in another similar expense for the same day and category.
  • The guest of the expense is identified as the owner of the expense in another similar expense for the same day and category.
To activate/deactivate the guest duplication detection:

As an administrator, you can enable/disable this feature.

To do this,

  1. Go to the Admin tab, then select Global Settings
  2. Then go to the Expense submenu
  3. You can then enable or disable the Guest Duplication Detection option via the checkbox

When Expensya detects a guest duplication, an alert message will be displayed.
