Legal archiving of e-invoices in France
As part of the French e-invoicing reform, Medius Expense ensures that all e-invoices received through an accredited platform (PA) are archived in compliance with legal requirements, provided the legal archiving feature is activated for your company.
What does this mean for you?
When an e-invoice is received and attached to an expense, the original file (Factur-X, UBL, or CII format) is preserved as-is and stored securely. Medius Expense applies an electronic signature to guarantee the integrity and authenticity of the archived document throughout its legal retention period.
This means:
- The original e-invoice file is never altered.
- Medius Expense's electronic signature certifies that the document has not been modified since its reception.
- The archived e-invoice is readily accessible at any time, including in the event of a tax audit.
This archiving is applied automatically for all expenses associated with an e-invoice, as long as the E-invoicing module is enabled for your company.
