  • Enrollment via QR code on the web

Users can enroll in two-factor authentication (2FA) by scanning a QR code displayed on the Expensya web platform. This process generates a unique key that synchronizes with the Microsoft Authenticator application.

To synchronize the 2FA solution, follow the detailed step-by-step process:

  1. Open the Microsoft Authenticator application on your mobile device.
  2. Click on the + icon to add a new account.
  3. Choose Work or school account from the options provided.
  4. Click on Scan a QR code in the Microsoft Authenticator application.
  5. Use your mobile device to scan the QR code displayed on the Expensya web platform.
  6. Microsoft Authenticator will automatically synchronize with your Expensya account.
  7. Once synchronized, a time-based one-time password (TOTP) will be displayed in the Microsoft Authenticator application. Use this code for 2FA authentication during login.

  • Enrollment via manual key entry in the Expensya mobile application

Users with activated two-factor authentication can enroll in the Expensya mobile application by manually adding the key provided in the Expensya Next mobile application to the Microsoft Authenticator application.

To enroll in 2FA, follow the detailed step-by-step process:

  1. Copy the key provided in the Expensya mobile application.
  2. Open the Microsoft Authenticator application on your mobile device.
  3. Click on the + icon to add a new account.
  4. Choose Other from the options provided.
  5. Click on Or enter the key manually n the Microsoft Authenticator application.
  6. Paste the key provided in the Expensya mobile application.
  7. Microsoft Authenticator will automatically synchronize with your Expensya account.
  8. Once synchronized, a time-based one-time password (TOTP) will be displayed in the Microsoft Authenticator application. Use this code for 2FA authentication during login.

User Experience After Enrollment: Logging in with Two-Factor Authentication
