How to activate your physical card?

To make purchases with your physical card, you need to activate it first. Check the physical card page to see if activation is required. Once activated, the card is ready to use.

Depending on your card type and associated bank account, you can use one of the following methods for activation. Note that not all options may be accessible for every card.

Option 1: Activate by making a chip-and-PIN payment
This option is only available if, after clicking Activate my card, you see the message: You can also use your PIN code at any store by using your new Expensya Card to activate it.

In that case, you can activate your physical card by making your first purchase at a store with your PIN code. 

To retrieve your PIN code:

  1. Go to the Expensya card menu.
  2. Open the My Cards sub-menu.
  3. Select Physical card.
  4. Click Show PIN Code. You will receive a text message on your registered mobile number.
  5. Click the link in the text message to confirm your request. The 4-digit PIN will then be displayed in your browser.

Use this PIN code for your first physical purchase. Your card will be automatically activated when this transaction is completed.

Option 2: Activate online using the card identifier

You can also activate your card online by entering the identifier shown on your card.

  1. Go to the Expensya Card menu.
  2. Open the My Cards sub-menu.
  3. Select Physical Card.
  4. Click Activate my Card.
  5. Enter the identifier number shown on your card. Depending on the card provider, this may be a 10-digit number or the last 4 digits of the card.
  6. Click Activate my Card to complete the process.

Once the activation is complete, your card is ready for use.
